Finally, a cajun boil closer to home. Being in the North Bay, there seems to a lack of some kinds of restaurants. Usually I needed to head out to the East Bay or Sacramento are for cajun boil restaurants, but now there's one a little bit closer with Bag O' Crab.
As of this review, I've visited twice so far. I've had: Deep fried soft-shell crab basket; 1 lb shrimp w/ sausage slices; Chicken strip basket. The soft-shell crab was good, but you do only get 1 with a basket of fries. It felt a little expensive for what you get. The 1 lb of shrimp bag was pretty good. I had the Atomic Sauce (all seasoning options) Mild. The shrimps were pretty big and the seasoning is one of the better ones I've had. I was bit disappointed with the Chicken strip basket though. The chicken strips were only lightly breaded, unlike a usual one that you'd think of at other restaurants. The strips were also a little bland. For both baskets, the fries didn't stand out much. They were really thinly sliced and lightly seasoned and bland as well.
The staff is really nice in my experience, and the boil meal come out pretty quickly. The boils are pretty good, but I have mixed thoughts about the fry baskets. Definitely come check out the boils. -

Definitely my GO TO place when I'm craving for some Garlicky, Buttery, Lemony, & Cajun flavored seafood!! My family and I go here at least once a week!!! We always order their sweet potato fries, which happen to be super crispy and delicious! We noticed that they sprinkle them with a little bit of sugar, and because of that, our daughter loves it! In addition, we always order the shrimp with the head on, crawfish, and mussels -- all flavored with the atomic sauce, which consists of all the flavors mixed together...garlic, lemon, Cajun, butter...etc. We usually ask for the spicy level to be mild, little bit or none at all...depending if we want a kick to the flavor! My husband also order the salad with the grilled fish with mango sauce, and he loves it!
Lastly, I love how you can see how long the wait is on Yelp, and you can add yourself on the waitlist as well. It also notifies you what place you are in line -- because of this feature, we haven't had to wait for a seat for very long once we arrive, especially on their busy days. -

Found this place on Yelp and thank goodness they have no wait (online waiting list)!! We timed it where we put our names down and our table would be about ready when we get there, which is great.
Very comfortable seating, ample parking, and multiple TVs showing the game (for those interested in not falling behind your sports games, this is the place for you).
My bf and I ordered:
- 1 lb shrimp with the atomic sauce (combo of all sauces) medium spice with sausage. It was actually pretty spicy at first but it got better as I continued eating it. The current market price is $14.99 per pound for shrimp. The bag was incredibly flavorful and def satisfied the cravings.
- side of fried soft shell crab with cajun fries (substitute for the cajun was $1 extra). This one was good but could've passed on it
- sapporo and corona. yum. lol just nice to have a cold beverage with this meal
I'd definitely come back here again! -

Came here because my boyfriend's sister was craving seafood boil. This was my first time trying it and I just wanted to share my experience.
We came here on a weekend around opening and were seated right away. Our waiter had a big party and was tending to them before she was able to introduce herself and take our order, which was definitely understandable.
We ended up ordering and sharing C2 -- which comes with 1 lb of shrimp, 1 lb of clams, sausages, two pieces of corn, and potatoes. We ordered it with atomic seasoning (mild) and ordered two rice, a side of fries, and two Sprites.
All our food came out piping hot and in a timely matter. The seafood was cooked perfectly and tasted fresh. The sauce -- which everyone had complained was thick and flavorless tasted pretty darn delicious to us. I was going back and dipping my clams and sausages in the bag because it was that yummy. You could see large chunks of garlic and seasoning, which causes the sauce to be quite thick -- so if you're not a fan of thick sauces... maybe this isn't the place for you.
The rice was perfectly cooked and my boyfriend said his fries were yummy. He also wanted me to explain that their corn was pretty bomb. Not your typical struggle when eating corn where it's tough to pull the corn off the cob. So, make sure to try add that to your bag!
I was full but not overly stuffed when we left. And since we shared, our bill wasn't crazy. Our waiter refilled our water. And she was attentive despite her slow start from the big party she had to deal with.
I should mention that they offer bibs AND gloves. So any of you that hate to get your hands wet, they got you!
Next time, I would definitely get it a bit spicier since my taste buds weren't really tingling from choosing mild. But other than that, it was a great experience! -

I see why many people give this place a 3 and/or below.
I am pretty happy that there is a hands on seafood place ~15-20 minutes from my house, but this place just lacks a few things...
Food: Not much flavor to it. My boyfriend and I shared their C3 (a pound of shrimp, pound of clams, four slices of sausages, two potatoes and two corn). We got the atomic with a little bit of spice. For those who cannot do spicy at all, even getting "a little bit" will want you to drown yourself in water lol
The potatoes had noooo taste to it. I don't think it was even seasoned before adding it to the bag. Even it being inside the bag with all the, what's supposed to be flavor, didn't help. The corn was okay. It sort of latched onto some of their atomic sauce. Honestly, I'm just really sad about their potatoes.
We also ordered Cajun fries and they were alright. Crisp and enough Cajun powder to cover the basket of fries.
The sauce itself tasted a bit watery with helllllla garlic. Don't get me wrong, the garlic tasted great. I just wasn't able to distinguish the different flavors in this atomic sauce - which is supposed to be a mix of three other sauces: Cajun, lemon pepper, and some garlic one.
Besides the sauce, the clams also had a rocky/ sandy bite to it... the shrimp was delicious! Pretty big and fat, too!
Service: Not the best... we were barely being checked up on. What I disliked the most was having to ask for more water instead of having our waitress coming to our table with a nice filled pitcher to server make sure everyone's cup was refilled. Even just asking for simple things like a plastic bag took a long time.
I'm not sure if I'd come back or even recommend this place. I'd rather drive far for better quality tasting get your hands dirty seafood.
